"Silver Fern Farms Ltd. operates 24 meat processing plants around New Zealand. Last year, I asked Colin of “The Core STI Ltd.” to audit all of our electrical equipment which came under NZS 6116 which deals with all safety aspects of electrical equipment in the meat industry, including stunners, immobilisers and conditioning equipment. Colin was ideally placed to do this work, as he was the chair of the committee which wrote the standard.

 

Considering that our plants are spread evenly over the two islands, and are often in out of the way rural areas, Colin did a very efficient job of getting around them all, and worked his visits in with other jobs he had on, which kept our costs to a minimum.

 

Colin interacted very well at all levels on plant, offering them suggestions to help achieve compliance, and produced a full report on each plant for me. Altogether a very satisfactory exercise!"
